Kilbaha Gallery join the Cloudforests Movement

We’ve Partnered with the Cloudforests Initiative

Cloudforests have a mission to help save the planet.  They are focused on climate change & environmental protection. They have a simple clear plan to create one hundred Cloudforests along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. These forests are solely being created for the planet.

Their aim is to create one hundred Cloudforests (through nurturing native forests and planting new forests, while also rewilding large sections) in some of the most beautiful locations across Ireland. These forests feature live HD video streaming, weather reports, pollinator friendly wildflower meadows and new bird & bat habitats. A Cloudforest is created under their strict climate action plan using close to nature principles.

Knowing the guys behind Cloudforests, and loving their passion for this wonderful initiative, when we heard they were bringing Cloudforests to the Loop Head Peninsula, where we are based, it was a no brainer for Kilbaha Gallery to become a Cloudforests Partner (known as Cool Partners, because of their willingness to help cool the planet)

As a family run business on the Loop Head peninsula, with our family being steeped in the art industry spanning two generations, we have a strong foundation in the importance of tradition and quality. Our business is part of the local Tourism network, where sustainable, community led tourism and an overall ethos of environmental awareness is paramount. The team here at the gallery are very excited about becoming partners with such a great initiative as Cloud Forests. The fact that the we ourselves are hugely community driven, there is a great synergy between the Gallery and the Cloud Forests movement. Kilbaha Gallery are thrilled about the regeneration of natural wild areas, the nurturing of native woodlands and the planting of further trees, and to know that we are now part of a movement that is directly enhancing the local biodiversity, natural habitats and overall environment of the peninsula.
