Arturas Karabanovas is a Lithuanian artist living in Galway for the last 10 years. He is a graduate of Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania) where he studied fine arts, and specialized in jewellery & sculpture. He works in a variety of media including bronze, precious metals, oil, and graphics. However his passion is bronze sculpture. Arturas uses ‘lost wax’ technique and participates in an entire process of sculpture-casting; from mould making to its final finish. His work continues to evolve; His inspiration comes from observing surrounding ‘neighborhood.’ He likes to explore texture and colors.
