Part of a series of hare sculptures, this is another beauty. Slightly more alert in appearance, his stance is one of eagerness and excitability. What has he seen in the distance? Standing tall at approx 77cm high, this gorgeous boy is solid bronze with a dark patina and bronze coloured edging around the ears for personality. This piece is actually one of a pair and can be bought on his own or with his friend (who is almost identical but with a green patina – see pictures here where they face one another like a pair of boxing hares).

Considering the unique nature of Seamus’ work and also the fact that each piece is taken from inception in clay and wax through to being cast into bronze in his own foundry, these pieces are always highly sought after.
