She never fails to impress. Heidi Wickham comes at us with another beauty. Again, sketched in charcoal, painted out beautifully, delicately and with such expertise, using a combination of pastels and acrylics, these two hares sat facing each other (and somewhat ignoring each other in the way only wild animals can perfect) are so lifelike in both their stance and expression and yet are painted with an almost transparent feel, onto a black canvas, that they couldn’t be anything other than an extremely competent, very striking piece of original art. As an artist, Heidi always strikes the perfect balance between realistic and artistic; making the urge to build a collection of her pieces, very strong.
