28″(71cm) at tallest point x 12.5″(30cm) side profile x a wingspan of 21.5″(55cm) – bronze sculpture
‘Transcendence II’ – an absolutely breath-taking piece of sculpture by contemporary artist Adam Pomeroy. The movement, the shape, the poise and the drama of this stunning piece, is mesmerising. Symbolising a moment of absolute liberation; the breaking through of boundaries; going from what is normal to what we thought was beyond the realms of possibility, there is a real sense of empowerment from this piece.
Created by the wonderfully skilful artist, Adam Pomeroy, the piece is remarkably self balancing – between the weight of the bronze and the carefully engineered span of the bronze wings, the fulcrum is perfectly centred and although the sculptor has placed it on a flat stone, the fact that it balances without it, is rather special. This specific piece is number 2 of an edition of 9. Each edition is cast separately and metal finished by the artist himself, and by virtue of this, each one is going to be ever so slightly different and unique.
Irish Contemporary Art – Bronze Sculpture – One off Piece – Original Work – striking bronze sculpture
Adam Pomeroy sculpts and paints to the highest standards and only as he feels inspired to do so. This makes his work wonderfully collectable and supremely exciting. With an incredible collection of biblical paintings hanging in Cathedrals across Ireland, and with work hanging nationally and internationally in private collections, Pomeroy’s work would be of interest to true art lovers and indeed discerning art buyers.
