‘Towards the Ocean’ is a beautiful depiction in oils, of one of the many trips out to sea, made by the pilot boat that departs from Cappa Pier, in West Clare. With Scattery Island in the background, the composition of this painting is truly beautiful, full of movement and with a real sense of adventure as the hard-working pilot boat heads off on another important route.

The artist, signing their work as ‘D’ has consistently produced beautiful local scenes, and has amassed a large following and fan base as a result. Her work is now hanging in personal and private collections internationally.
