It’s that incredibly cute, curious and slightly defensive expression that you get when you stop to look at sheep around the West of Ireland; particularly these black faced sheep in or around Achill – roaming almost freely around the verges of the land, closely watching every car or walker that passes by.

Padraig McCaul captures their sweet faces, gorgeously shaggy wool coats and the richness of the landscape around them. Another striking and beautiful piece of original art by this wonderful artist.
