Ruth Wood is one of Clare’s most established and celebrated artists. Perhaps best known for her striking pen & ink and watercolour paintings of buildings and landscapes, she is also much sought after for her original acrylics on canvas (always super exciting when we get some in).  This gorgeous piece, The Water Pump, Farrihy, is part of a new series of 2020 artworks by this exciting artist.

Ruth says of this painting, …”the triad of a single cow, an old bath and a water pump shed creates the heart of this painting. The diagonal lines of the fields connect the foreground to the cottages in the background. This painting is a celebration of winter light in west Clare”.

NOTE: Due to Covid 19 areas are experiencing delays and some restrictions on deliveries – please enquire directly with us if you are concerned. 

We generally use the postal service here in Ireland, called An Post. It is very reliable and we take the utmost care in packing all our pieces professionally to ensure that have the very best chance of arriving safely in their destination.  This option would be at your own risk.

We can also offer you our own cargo insurance at a reasonable price – weight and piece dependent. Please enquire with us for this option. (This will also be packed by us and carried by An Post as above)

Taking into account the delicate nature and cost of your purchase, if you would prefer it travel in a specialized and insured Art Box with an outside Art Handler, then this can be arranged.  For paintings up to and including the size 120cm x 100 cm – prices with an insured professional courier, range from €75 – all the way up to €475 (size and location dependent) NOTE: This option will take considerably longer as we will have to outsource it and get quotes for you before we proceed.

For paintings or items falling outside of those largest dimensions then a further discussion is required – as it may need to have a bespoke crate to be built for it and a further cost will apply.
