Padraig McCaul can do no wrong. In this painting ‘The Old Cottage’, sitting into the hillside, is wonderfully captivating, with its small outhouse tucked into the gable as though it were being protected, sheltered and even hugged by the Old Cottage itself and all against the backdrop of an extraordinary sky.
