The Golden Hour refers to a state of natural lighting that is most common around sunrise and sunset, when the Sun is close to the horizon on a sunny day, its light appears warmer and softer. This makes the golden hour, also known as the magical hour, such a special moment to experience. This stunning painting by Gillian Murphy ‘The Golden Hour’, continues her light study series and with her masterful knowledge of colour, makes this painting, with its beautiful contrast of dark, light and warmth, simply one to behold.

Your Shipping Choices Explained

NOTE: Due to Covid 19 some areas are experiencing delays and restrictions with deliveries – please enquire directly with us if you are concerned.

We generally use the postal service here in Ireland, called An Post. It is very reliable and we take the utmost care in packing all our pieces professionally to ensure that have the very best chance of arriving safely in their destination. This option would be at your own risk.
We can also offer you our own cargo insurance at a reasonable price – weight and piece dependent. Please enquire with us for this option. (This will also be packed by us and carried by An Post as above)
Taking into account the delicate nature and cost of your purchase, if you would prefer it travel in a specialized and insured Art Box with an outside Art Handler, then this can be arranged. For paintings up to and including the size 120cm x 100 cm – prices with an insured professional courier, range from €75 – all the way up to €475 (size and location dependent) NOTE: This option will take considerably longer as we will have to outsource it and get quotes for you before we proceed.
For paintings or items falling outside of those largest dimensions then a further discussion is required – as it may need to have a bespoke crate to be built for it and a further cost will apply.
