A rather beautiful piece of sculpture by the ever artistically exciting sculptor Tanya Elliott Nyegaard.
This visually beautiful and also very tactile piece of bronze, is of a lady setting a bird free – and is entitled ‘Saoirse’ (the Irish for Freedom).  Part of an edition, this sculpture is actually the AP (or the artists proof) from an edition of a further 8 pieces – and is patinated in varying depths of green.

Tanya is a well known sculptor of note, particularly on the Dublin art scene over the years. Her work is fresh and fun and so very collectable.

Tanya, who worked in – and then run – the Dublin Art Foundry, with John Gannon and Leslie Manning since 1987 – has lots of experience as a sculptor. In running the Dublin Art Foundry, Tanya has worked with many of Ireland’s finest artists over the years. She has personally exhibited work across Ireland including in the RHA, and has also exhibited in London. Tanya’s work hangs in both private and public collections, including public art installations. Private collections have included those of Christy Moore, Pat Kenny, Dermot Desmond Anne Doyle, Garret Fitzgerald and many more.
