Educator, writer, marine biologist and artist, Carmel T Madigan, brings her extraordinary knowledge of nature and the ocean, into her work with this striking mixed media painting. The textures and three dimensional elements that she incorporates really add to the alure of this underwater scene; from the way she has depicted the darkness of the rocks, to the green of the moss, the smattering of pebbles and the striking yellow of the lichen.
