With the aim of capturing and holding the gaze of the viewer, David Coyne uses a vivid colour palette and a wonderfully bold and confident painting style, when pouring his heart onto the canvas board. Using oil on palette knife, Coyne manages to create extraordinarily striking paintings of seaside or West of Ireland scenes.
