Note:  Long and slim original piece – 9.5″ (23cm) x 43″(109cm) and a depth of 2″(5cm).

This exquisite piece is narrow and long, as though you are just barely peeping out a window and being lucky enough to capture a wonderous glimpse of a golden hour sunset . Also, it happens to appear like a shaft of sunlight, bouncing across your wall. The height might only be 9.5″ (23cm) but the length is an impressive 43″ (109cm) – this serves to provide and achieve the glimpse of wonder the artist wants you to see.

This is so striking. Kim’s eye for colour is what makes her work stand out. Fascinated and indeed awed by the incredible and ever changing skies that we experience here on the Loop Head Peninsula, Kim utilises her knowledge of fusible web, of heat layering, of acrylics and of colour to create pieces of art that really take you to that exact moment. A window to the outside during that rather special golden hour, when the skies are full of deep oranges and purples.

Thittichai, artist and author of four books on experimental textile techniques, has 30 years of teaching under her belt, from the UK to Australia and New Zealand.  She has developed a new, many layered, heat process using recycled local newspapers, acrylic paint and fusible web. The work is protected with several layers of acrylic wax.

 Your Shipping Choices Explained

NOTE: Due to Covid 19 areas are experiencing delays and some restrictions on deliveries – please enquire directly with us if you are concerned.

We generally use the postal service here in Ireland, called An Post. It is very reliable and we take the utmost care in packing all our pieces professionally to ensure that have the very best chance of arriving safely in their destination.  This option would be at your own risk.

We can also offer you our own cargo insurance at a reasonable price – weight and piece dependent. Please enquire with us for this option. (This will also be packed by us and carried by An Post as above)

Taking into account the delicate nature and cost of your purchase, if you would prefer it travel in a specialized and insured Art Box with an outside Art Handler, then this can be arranged.  For paintings up to and including the size 120cm x 100 cm – prices with an insured professional courier, range from €75 – all the way up to €475 (size and location dependent) NOTE: This option will take considerably longer as we will have to outsource it and get quotes for you before we proceed.

For paintings or items falling outside of those largest dimensions then a further discussion is required – as it may need to have a bespoke crate to be built for it and a further cost will apply.
