Famous for his detailed, fine hand, Ennis artist Vincent Killowry has produced another truly extraordinary series of original, Co. Clare based, oil paintings, exclusively for Kilbaha Gallery.
Erratic rock, is glacier-transported rock fragments – a familiar sight around the Burren in Co. Clare. Vincent has spent long periods working meticulously on the finer details of these rocks and especially so, on the many variations of colours that one would never imagine you find in rock – from purples, peaches, whites, blues, yellows and many more. It is the artists competency, talent and deep understanding of colour that brings that amazing, almost palpable, warmth to these beautiful rocks.
Killowry, an art teacher, and an illustrator, is particularly famous for being the artist responsible for painting many of the national heritage stamps with An Post. He is a super collectable artist and has work hanging in many private collections across Ireland and abroad.
