Erratic rock, is glacier-transported rock fragments – of the kind found in the Burren. Renowned artist Vincent Killowry, has created this beautiful trilogy in oils. ‘Burren Erratic Study I, II and III’ are three original oil paintings that not only share a common theme, but all showcase the talent and competency of this incredible artist.
Vincent spent much time working on the finer detail and especially so, on the many variations of colours that one would never imagine you find in rock – from purples, peaches, whites, blues, yellows and many more. It is the artists talent and deep understanding of colour that brings that amazing, almost palpable, warmth to these beautiful rocks.

Killowry, famous for many reasons, including art teaching and indeed being responsible for many of the extraordinary paintings commissioned by An Post as part of their heritage stamps range, is a super collectable artist and also has work hanging in many private collections in Ireland and abroad.
