A beautiful depiction in oils of the geological phenomenon that is the gorgeous, Bridges of Ross walk, on the Loop Head Peninsula, Co. Clare.

Famous for their rarity, this geological fold was the result of an eruption millions of years ago that would have sent a shock wave, or ripple of movement across the sea bed, from which this extraordinary bridge formation emerged. It is rare to see such a specimen above sea level in this way – and the artist has beautifully captured, the magnificent layered and bent rock. We adore the sweet tufts of sea pinks and heather in the foreground.
