A departure from Heidi’s signature subject matter of animals, is this beautiful little original piece called ‘Bog Fire’. The painting does exactly as it is titled, showing the varying colours of a raging bog fire; the flames licking across the dry undergrowth. Heidi has used strong, bold colours and carefully placed varnish around the fire area, to symbolise the visual distortion one experiences looking at the air around flames.
