Renowned for her pen & ink depictions of local landmarks and rural scenes, Ruth Wood is one of the West of Ireland’s most loved and celebrated painters – and indeed her acrylic originals are always so wonderfully received. This fabulously large and impactful piece at just over a metre in width, is so beautiful and visually very striking.  With the famous George’s Head in the background, this is such a gorgeous painting of the well known landmark, ‘The Bandstand’ in Kilkee, Co. Clare.

Ruth spent huge amounts of time, painting the gorgeous iron railings and the Victorian roof, with meticulous detail. The colour palette is warm and inviting and suggests an early morning sunrise.
