Herons are a regular but delightful sight in West Clare. One holds their breath when the see them, for fear of frightening them away; watching safely from afar at their graceful stance on the waters edge. This particular heron, painted by the artist – ‘D’ -,  is watching the sea carefully, from his spot on the rocky shoreline. A beautiful summers morning, the artist’s original oil on canvas evokes such warmth, stillness and beauty – you could be there at that moment.
