Man in Boat
Out of stock
11″(28cm) tall – x 23.5″(60cm) wide x 5.5″(14cm) in depth – bronze statue standing in a ceramic boat.
A contemporary take on what was the traditional Irish fishing boat on the West of Ireland – Clodagh Redden, a sculptor, and ceramicist, has become truly very well known for her contemporary currach sculptures – both in ceramic and in bronze. Her elongated figures, often both men and women, are beautifully artistic and stylized and her striking boats, are unique pieces, each with individual markings and designs. Clodagh’s work is highly sought after both internationally and here at home. This bronze sculpture is truly striking at 23.5″ inches wide (tip to tip of the currach) and 11″ inches high – with a bronze figure standing up to launch the boat from the shore.
This is a gorgeous contemporary piece, by a highly collectable artist whose work is in private collections around the world, including in the The White House, in Washington DC.
