Red Kite

Bronze – 20″(51cm) tall – and approx. 20″(51cm) in side profile length (beak to tail) – and a depth of approx. 9″(23cm)

This is a rather impressive sculpture of a rare Irish bird of prey, called the ‘Red Kite’.  Sculpted by contemporary artist Ester Barrett and patinated in a deep rust brown colour, this bronze sculpture is very striking.

Famous for having once become extinct in Ireland, before being reintroduced in the early noughties – these rather large birds are now very much carefully being distributed in different parts of Ireland.

Ester has truly captured the stance and perfect silhouette of this majestic bird. This would be an impressive piece for a foyer or outdoor entrance space?
