The beautiful, small but vibrant market town of Ennistymon, in North Clare, is famous for its incredible rapids. These cascades, rather like mini waterfalls, are known both locally and internationally, as ‘The Falls of Ennistymon’ – with the main local hotel also sharing the same name for that reason. Here the artists vantage point is a famous view, looking back towards the buildings of the small bustling town; with the incredible fast moving rapids, racing towards you in the foreground!  The fast pace of the water and the incredible layers of foam created by the rapid movements, are expertly depicted here in oils by this celebrated West Clare artist.

Signing their work only as ‘D’, the artist has captured this well known landmark here with expert precision and wonderful detail.
