Alta has Northern Europe’s largest concentration of rock art made by hunter gatherers. The rock art comprises of both rock carvings and rock paintings made from 7,000 to 2,000 years ago. This is Heidi’s interpretation of some of this incredible rock art, but in acrylics! A fantastic large scale piece, at a metre x metre, this piece would be an incredibly cool nod to the work of the hunter gatherers, but by one of Ireland’s sought after contemporary artists.

Heidi Wickham’s work has a huge following, both nationally and internationally. Heidi’s love of animals is what inspires her work and she always manages to capture something compelling; be it the stance, the expression, the eyes.
