Beautifully sculpted at the hand of master craftsman -and Ireland’s leading portrait sculptor – Seamus Connolly – and cast in his own family run bronze foundry in the West of Ireland.
Sculptor Seamus Connolly, is renowned for his life size public, commemorative, sculptures, which are dotted around the country, from playwrights to actors to sports heroes. One of Ireland’s foremost portrait sculptors, Connolly’s work is extremely well known on the art scene in Ireland.

Due to his suite of public commissioned works, many of which are high profile pieces, Seamus’ smaller, gallery size bronzes, are naturally, therefore, extremely collectable.
Connolly’s personal work is very recognisable due to his signature stylised approach, which is quite markedly different from his realistic portrait pieces. Also, his gallery work, generally revolves around his absolute love of animals.
These two Loop Head Wild Goat pieces in bronze, are, quite simply, a ‘stop you in your tracks’, striking example of original Irish art.
With beautiful layered patinas, in these instances, in layered green and a light grey, these Goats are strikingly regal and create a truly gorgeous and lasting impression.
Sculpted and cast by the artist himself here in his studios in Kilbaha, these bronzes are extraordinary and stand out pieces, that would work both inside and / or as outside pieces – and make the most incredible silhouettes simply everywhere they are placed.
