24″(61cm) x 28.25″(72cm) – framed behind glass
The beautiful hand and delicate touch of artist Phil Brennan, with this original watercolour painting of the White Tailed Sea Eagle, Inis Cealtra, Lough Derg. These eagles were driven to extinction in the 19th century. A reintroduction program has been running at Killarney since the 1980’s but ironically, the first successful nest was actually on an island on Lough Derg, in Co Clare in 2013. They still risk persecution as one of the chicks was shot in Tipperary the following year.
Artist, author and lifelong bird watching / nature consultant Phil Brennan, creates the most beautiful watercolour depictions of the stunning sights and birds that he has witnessed. Not just beautifully detailed, Phil’s knowledge of colour is superb and he always manages to bring such drama into his pieces. Phil has spent much of his life time doing field work in such spots of natural beauty along the Clare Coast and his experts eye for detail is refreshing.Phil’s artwork is detailed and both beautifully and delicately applied. This is a large artwork and is professionally framed behind glass.
