Locked Box is a fine art photographer who is nameless, ageless and genderless. Residing and working in Ireland the photographer is currently involved in exploring the landscape and creating visual impressions that generate more questions than answers. The work is produced in camera with minimal clean edits and does not resort to the use of layers or excessive image manipulation software.
The work is influenced from the secessionists Alfred Stieglitz and Edward Steichen. The Pictorialism of Julia Margaret Cameron is a foil reference to the over edited, lemming-like landscape art photography where practitioners queue up to take the same scene with only minimal artistic interpretation in the field and maximum influence from image editing software.
